Small Group Ministry
Vision: Building relationships that inspire growth to maturity in Jesus Christ
The small group ministry provides an opportunity to grow deeper in faith and Christian commitment with the help and encouragement of each other. Each small group is a covenant group where every member has a leadership role. Unlike a drop in Bible Study, we have a covenant membership group to encourage the deep intimacy and sharing to occur in a safe and authentic environment. The covenant covers basic expectations such as meeting times and preparation, values espoused by the members of the group such as prayer, accountability, availability to each other, and honesty. Additionally, each member takes on a unique leadership role that serves the ongoing functioning of the group. The group meets every other week for fellowship, Bible study, and prayer. Additionally, we have social fuctions and service projects routinely outside of the regular meeting times.
Our current study is from the LifeChange Bible Study Series on the book of Psalms

“Lord, teach us to pray.”
The book of Psalms is an answer to that prayer, leading those who study it into new emotional depth in their prayer and their daily lives.
Your prayers will be enriched and you will acquire a richer revelation of the God who invites you into a lifelong conversation.
• Personal study between meetings
• 10 sessions
• Includes resource recommendations and a “How to Use This Study" section
From the Back Cover
The prayers of Psalms are deep with feelings of joy, fear, shame, sadness, and at times inconsolable rage. Our God in heaven awaits on His throne, pleased to receive the prayers of His children. Psalms is a study that helps broaden and deepen our understanding and experience of prayer by looking at the prayers of some of our spiritual ancestors: David, Moses, Asaph, and others. These prayers give us myriad examples of how we are to pray and what we are to pray for—examples God expects us to follow and emulate.

Christians have a lifelong goal: to become like Christ. This involves change, and change isn’t always easy. But the more a person knows of God’s purposes for him or her, the more that person can experience His joy and participate in His plan.
The LifeChange series of Bible studies on books of the Bible can help you grow in Christlikeness through a life-changing encounter with God’s Word. You’ll benefit in these important ways:
* You’ll gain a firm understanding of the book—its historical context, purpose, structure, and meaning
* You’ll apply its powerful, relevant wisdom to needs and issues you’re currently working through
* You’ll acquire personal study skills and a thirst to return to the book and go deeper into its life-transforming truths
